Job Description

Taylor Grocery Special Events Catering is a full service caterer and we are looking for Catering Event Staff to join our team. This position requires catering experience, the ability to be pro-active, and a genuinely positive attitude. A good candidate works well under pressure and has a passion for elevated service experiences.

Part time and Full time positions are available. 

Pay is negotiable based on skills and experience. Looking for the right candidate and willing to compensate accordingly. Tips and bonuses are also available based on performance. 

Full time employees have the opportunity for health, vision and dental insurance as well a retirement program. 

Ideal Candidate

• Works well in team setting
• Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast paced environment
• Willing to do even the most menial tasks in order to get the job done
• Has strong communication skills and bring a positive attitude to workplace everyday
• Strong guest services skills
• Strong sense of urgency
• Ability to receive and carry out instructions in a timely manner

Hours per week

• 10-20 hours Part Time
• 30+ Full Time with possibility of overtime during the wedding/football/holiday season
• Availability most nights and weekends are required

Responsibilities

• Setting up all tables and food service areas with chairs, linens and dishes
• Serving food to guests at events
• Maintaining buffet, drink and dessert stations
• Cleaning up and tearing down the dining/prep areas by removing all tableware, linens, garbage

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Catering Experience (preferred)
• Food Service Experience (preferred)
• Must be able to work in a group/team setting and be able to work independently when needed

Expectations

• Maintain a well-kept uniform that is pressed and ready for work.
• Adhere to strict grooming standards and policies of company.
• Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary
• Remain at assigned station and perform duties as assigned according to each event.
