Description We are looking for an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This Contract-to-Ongoing position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment while showcasing your organizational and administrative expertise. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, proactive, and skilled in managing litigation-related tasks. Responsibilities: - Prepare and submit legal documents through electronic filing systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Manage court filings and adhere to specific jurisdictional requirements. - Coordinate and maintain calendars for attorneys, including scheduling appointments and tracking deadlines. - Perform dictation duties with precision and attention to detail. - Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files to ensure easy access and proper documentation. - Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure compliance with court schedules and filing procedures. - Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to facilitate case progress. - Assist in drafting correspondence and legal documents as needed. - Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards in all interactions. Requirements - Proven experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary or similar role in a legal setting. - Proficiency in electronic filing systems and court filing procedures. - Strong skills in calendar management and appointment scheduling. - Familiarity with dictation tools and techniques. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Knowledge of legal terminology and processes is highly desirable.
