Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll and Data Entry Specialist to support our client, a local government agency in Perris, CA with critical payroll and data reconciliation tasks. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who excels in handling various reporting duties, data entry, and reconciliation tasks with precision. The position requires onsite work and offers flexible scheduling depending on workload demands. Key Responsibilities: Report Management: + Run and format various reports bi-weekly from Oracle before and after payroll completion. + Utilize Excel to format reports, including pivot tables and basic formulas for data organization and presentation. Data Entry: + Perform data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency, including: + Tuition reimbursements + Meal allowances + Safety shoes + Certification reimbursements + Direct deposit requests + Confirmation of new hire information + PTO payouts + Terminations + Data entry will make up the majority of the work. Reconciliation: + Reconcile payroll data entry for accuracy, ensuring all information is complete and correct. This includes reviewing and verifying payroll-related items. Payroll Reports: + Handle data entry-specific payroll reports, including timecard-related audits. + Note: No responsibilities involve posting payroll data to the general ledger. Hours and Work Schedule: + Standard: 4 hours per day. + Flexible: For Week 1 of the payroll cycle, scheduled hours could include 8 hours on Thursday or Friday. For Week 2, scheduled hours could include 8 hours on both Thursday and Friday, based on workload. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Proficiency in Oracle and Excel (including pivot tables and basic formulas). + Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. + Ability to reconcile data and ensure accuracy in reporting. + Experience with payroll is a plus, but not required. + Must be able to work onsite.
