Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Sports Marketing will lead athlete management for some of Vuori’s most visible and influential partnerships, own the execution of all sports marketing events, and support the Senior Director of Sports Marketing in shaping strategy and preparing leadership-ready presentations. This role blends best-in-class athlete service with elevated strategic responsibilities, while also influencing and collaborating with teammates to ensure our partnerships deliver brand impact, commercial value, and long-term relationship equity. Success in this position requires a high level of attention to detail, personal integrity, and the ability to represent Vuori with professionalism in all internal and external interactions. 

What you'll get to do:

Athlete Relationship Management & Service Excellence 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of contracted athletes, delivering an unmatched level of service that fosters loyalty, trust, and long-term partnership. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships that support athletes’ personal and professional success, ensuring Vuori is their preferred partner. 
• Oversee product delivery and scripting for both performance and lifestyle wear, ensuring alignment with seasonal campaigns, marketing priorities, and athlete needs. 
• Ensure contractual obligations are met, holding athletes accountable to performance and marketing deliverables while upholding Vuori’s commitments. 

Influence & Team Collaboration 

• Influence and guide team members by providing direction, support, and feedback that ensures consistency and excellence across all sports marketing activities. 
• Partner with teammates on shared projects, ensuring seamless coordination across athletes, institutional partnerships, and events. 

Strategic Support for the Senior Director of Sports Marketing 

• Partner closely with the Senior Director to develop and refine Vuori’s global sports marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals. 
• Own the creation of executive-level presentations, talking points, and storylines for leadership meetings that articulate sports marketing performance, strategic priorities, and new opportunities. 
• Anticipate leadership questions and provide supporting data, insights, and recommendations. 

Event Ownership & On-Site Leadership 

• Lead all planning, logistics, and execution for sports marketing events and activations, ensuring seamless delivery and brand consistency. 
• Be on-site for all major events, providing leadership and ensuring athletes and partners have an exceptional experience, as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events meet contractual obligations and deliver against brand and business objectives. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Orientation 

• Partner effectively with marketing, product, PR, design, and operations teams to ensure athletes are positioned and presented in ways that maximize both brand impact and business results. 
• Maintain a business-minded approach to sports marketing, consistently seeking ways to enhance brand visibility, drive ROI, and strengthen relationships. 

Contract Compliance, Reporting & Budget Partnership 

• Track all contractual commitments, ensuring timely fulfillment of performance, marketing, and activation requirements. Maintain detailed records of deliverables, athlete appearances, and marketing activations. 
• Partner with the Senior Director on budget oversight, providing accurate reporting, tracking spends against plan, and flagging risks or opportunities for reallocation. 

Product Integration & Feedback 

• Work with product teams to ensure athletes have the right performance and lifestyle gear for competition, training, and appearances. 
• Lead product scripting to ensure visibility of key commercial styles in athlete wear. 
• Gather and share athlete feedback on product performance, collaborating with product development to enhance quality and authenticity. 

Qualifications

Who you are:  

• 10+ years of experience in sports marketing, athlete management, or brand partnerships. 
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners. 
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready materials. 
• High level of professionalism and presence with the ability to represent Vuori at the highest level in meetings, events, and industry engagements. 
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a business-oriented mindset. 
• High level of attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy across contracts, reporting, and presentations. 
• Personal integrity and sound judgment, consistently modeling Vuori’s values and building trust with athletes, partners, and colleagues. 
• Willingness to travel frequently for athlete meetings, events, and activations.

The salary range for this role is $137,300 per year - $176,610 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
